Srđan Jandrić (born 1993/1994 in Novi Sad) is a local chef who became known as the winner of the fourth season of the popular show Masterchef Serbia (2025). During the final episode, he won the main prize of €50,000, and in an emotional moment, right before the announcement as the winner, he proposed to his longtime girlfriend Marija – who said ‘yes’. This success, along with an unexpected engaging moment in the studio, strengthened his status as a new culinary talent.
Early life and education. Srđan Jandrić was born and raised in Novi Sad. After high school, he entered the Faculty of Agriculture, majoring in rural development, in his hometown. In the studio, he was particularly interested in the market of fast food restaurants – their organization and offers. In the interview, he states that food and the cooking process is what motivates him: ‘Food is responsible for the love of cooking, as well as love for the process… I like to create,’ says Srđan. Tom’s creative approach to cooking inspired him from early childhood, especially his grandmothers who taught him to prepare food with a lot of love (Serbian media report that he gave the victory in MasterChef to them).
Masterchef Serbia and Victory
Srđan reported participation in Masterchef Serbia in order to prove to himself that he deserves the title of the best chef. Throughout the competition, his works stood out with technique and taste, and the judges often praised him as a stable and consistent competitor. In the superfinal of the fourth season, Srđan surpassed his rivals – especially his colleague Sanja Berić – and deservedly won the title of the best chef of the series. The celebratory moment was further enhanced by the judge’s praise: the jury pointed out that they will remember some of his creations for a long time and even prepare them in their restaurants.

His goal is to apply the learned for future culinary endeavors. He planned to use the prize money to further share the pleasure of cooking with his audience – for example, through an open culinary performance, cooking in restaurants or publishing recipes on social networks.
Personal life and conclusion
Outside of the culinary scenes, Srđan is in love with his now fiancee Marija, with whom he has been for many years. The scenery of his own wedding was announced at the very end Masterchef, when he knelt down and said ‘Excuse me’ in front of everyone before he proposed to Maria – a scene that made everyone in the studio cry. This combination of love for cooking and love in general adorned his story from the beginning.
