Speed of living and the impact of technology on life

Do we live faster?

Has life sped up? Does man live life in a faster way than he experienced in his distant past? These questions have been in my mind for a long time, not only me but most people. Many times I have heard from different people how ‘time flies’ how quickly a week passed or a day how quickly it came to an end. What are the causes of these events? Do the technologies that have reached their highest peaks in the history of mankind today have influence? As the days pass, we live our lives faster and faster. Will this one day stop being like this, and will man find a way to slow down time? These are questions that have been bothering me lately, so I myself feel that time is running so fast and that old age is approaching with a tireless step. The technology that is located at our every step and which is always close to us and within reach has a great influence on the passage of time. Let’s consider how many times a day we just touch the screens of our mobile devices. We have become so infected with the use of mobile devices that most of us would not know what to do most of our free time without using them. I don’t think using mobile devices is harmful, but I have a feeling that a lot of what we watch on our screens could ‘filter’. Mobile devices are very useful nowadays because information is always at our fingertips and we always have an answer to any question that someone asks us or we ask ourselves. However, we use a lot of our time on irrelevant information that serves us nothing.

life before

Sometimes I wonder how people lived before all this technology and how they spent their free time. Did people have more conversations with other people and whether information and knowledge were then passed on through conversations and practical examples. Sometimes watching old recordings of concerts have always been fascinating to me, everyone without mobile cameras enjoys music and dances, while today whether it was a concert or a sports match, most viewers ‘do not watch’ what is happening, because they are focused on recording those moments instead of experience and recount to other people.

Determined steps in life

Our ‘predetermined’ steps in life also have an impact on the speed of living. We live the same life every day, we do the same tasks, we do the same tasks, we travel the same way to and from work, we hang out with the same people, drink the same drinks, eat the same dishes, watch the same TV shows, etc. We are constantly in a roundabout an event that constantly revolves around its axis of events. If only we had jumped out of that vortex for a moment and changed our daily habits, maybe our clock, which is constantly ticking, would slow down at least a little.

missed opportunities due to carelessness

A person misses a lot in his life because he did not notice something and saw the opportunity when he should have, because a lot of our time in one day is not at the level of dedication that we should have. For a long time, man is beside himself, he is not fully focused on the events around him. How many times has someone contacted us or said something to us, so we wince and we didn’t notice him at all that he was speaking to us and that he was saying something to us. I have the feeling that in these situations one wanders with thoughts to some other places. This can be a positive and negative talent, because in these situations a person can freeze his surroundings in his mind and focus totally on the object in front of him.

The future of technology and lifestyle changes

What awaits us in the future, will this technology continue to develop or something will happen where everyone will reject it and start living life in some other way, which at this moment is incomprehensible to an ordinary person. I sincerely hope that one day an even more advanced technology will develop that will replace smartphones and remove our addiction to daily use.
